Watch out for internet scam

Sheriff Larry Sanders of Garland County warns texting schemes are on the rise. Latest scheme says you have won a $1000.00 WalMart gift card.

This scheme says that you have won a $1000.00 gift card and attempts to get you lured onto a website, where it is highly possible that your information will be "phished".

Please do not follow links, or reply to, messages of this type. It is highly unlikely that anyone will contact you through a text message to inform you of winning a prize.
