An informational meeting for citizens interested in exploring possible travel
this fall to Hot Springs' sister city, Hanamaki, Japan, will be held at noon on
Thursday, April 5 at the Hale Bathhouse on Bathhouse Row in downtown Hot
Springs.
At the meeting, details will be provided on the trip, which is
tentatively scheduled for September 1 through 9. The itinerary includes the 420th
annual Hanamaki Festival, along with two days in Tokyo. The delegates will visit
area temples, shrines, museums and Hanamaki area attractions. The trip cost,
approximately $3500, includes airfare, lodging, transportation, guides, tours
and most meals.
