Hot Springs Memorial Field is seeking business and private sponsors to help
underwrite costs for the Aerospace Job Fair, to be held on Saturday, April 28 at
the airport.
Hosted by Hot
Springs Metro Partnership, Arkansas Economic Development Commission and the
airport, the event will highlight the current availability of well-paying local
jobs in the aerospace industry. Those wanting to change careers as well as
graduating high school students who are considering career options will be
encouraged to attend. “The aerospace industry has now outpaced the rice
industry as Arkansas’ number one export,” Airport Director George Downie said.
“This fair will be a great opportunity to gather job information, and at the
same time provide educational and entertaining activities for the whole
family.”
In addition to
booths by job recruiters and military recruiters, the job fair will also offer
displays of World War II and other vintage aircraft; modern military aircraft;
and a flight simulator from Henderson University. Private flights on a World
War II Mitchell B-25 Bomber will available by fee and by advance reservation.
