The following alert is from Garland County Sheriff's Department spokesman Lt. Corky Martin.
Our dispatchers have been advised that the Forestry Commission, Jessieville and
Buckville firefighters are battling a wildfire in the 8600 block of Hwy 298.
The fire was on both sides of Tina Herron Road and is spreading quickly
toward Cecil Adams Circle. Homes are in danger on Cecil Adams Circle and fire
crews are working diligently to protect those structures.
We are told
that a Blackhawk helicopter is enroute for water-drop assistance.
This
