If
you are a fan of the programs on the History Channel, then you should join us at
the Crater of Diamonds State Park on Saturday, August 4 from 1 to 4 p.m. We are presenting a program with speakers who will talk about
various aspects of diamond mine history. Because this year is the
40th anniversary of the state park, Jim Cannon, park superintendent
from 1973 to 1991, will reminisce about early park diamond finders and events.
The program, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the visitor
center theater. So, join us for a cool afternoon of diamond mine stories on a
hot August day.
