Garland County Master Gardeners at work

On a recent workday, a heat-hardy group of Garland County Master Gardeners weeded seven landscaped beds surrounding the Historic Downtown Farmers and Artisans Market, then continued their work at the triangle at the intersection of Malvern and Grand avenues.  With support from the Hot Springs Parks & Recreation Department, they weeded, replaced plantings and mulched all three beds surrounding the statue at that location.  The Master Gardeners volunteer their time year-round to help beautify public spaces throughout the City of Hot Springs.  Pictured from left to right:  Lin Johnson, Sally Waddell, Kay Skoog, Mary Ann Schnipper, Daryl Edwards, Michael Carr, Bill Morris, Barbara Donathan, Wayne Patterson and Don Turner; front: Janie Turner and Barbara Smith.
