Another push by POA to register pets


The Property Owners’ Association reminds residents to register and vaccinate all household pets. The registration fee is $10.50 per animal and requires proof of valid rabies vaccination from a licensed veterinarian.

If a pet is picked up by the POA and is registered, tagged and vaccinated, the owner will be charged $31.50 for the first pickup. Prices for subsequent pickups are as follows:

·        Second pickup - $47.25
·        Third pickup - $68.25
·        Subsequent pickups (per calendar year) - $105
·        Food and lodging - $10.50 per day

The fee schedule for an animal that is not registered, tagged or vaccinated is as follows:

·        First pickup - $94.50
·        Second pickup - $141.75
·        Third pickup - $204.75
·        Subsequent pickups - $315
·        Food and lodging - $31.50 per day
·        Rabies quarantine - $26.25 per day

All pets should be registered and vaccinated as soon as they arrive in your household. Pets may be registered at the POA administration office at 895 Desoto Blvd., weekdays from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. For questions, call 922-5556.
