After burning 1,400 acres, the Ola fire is 100% contained. The evacuation Center in Plainview has been turned into a cooling facility for today's expected high temperatures.
One abandoned barn and one abandoned mobile home were the only structures destroyed by the fire.
The fire started on the side of Highway 10 between 10:30 and 11 a.m. Wednesday. Coincidentally, at the same time a contractor for the state was mowing the area with a bush hog. The Sheriff of Yell County made the contractor stop mowing. The contractor does not believe he started the wildfire.
