SHARE job opening in Mt. Ida

Central Arkansas Development Council's Mt. Ida Office is a SHARE (Sharing How Access to Resources Empowers) Network Access Point, offering employment services to jobseekers in Montgomery County.

The SHARE Network Access Point is available to jobseekers Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the CADC Mt. Ida office, 112 Hwy 270 West, Suite 10.

As a host of the SHARE Network Access Point, CADC assists jobseekers with searching for jobs in their own communities and provides assistance by trained staff who connect customers to jobs using the Arkansas JobLink (AJL) system via computers and direct referrals. Using AJL, job seekers can search for available jobs, register with Arkansas’ Department of Workforce Services and post their résumé so they can be referred to jobs for which they may qualify. To check out AJL, visit www.arjoblink.arkansas.gov.

"In partnership with the U.S. Department of Labor and the Arkansas Department of Workforce Services, CADC is donating space and staff time to help jobseekers through the access point," said CADC Deputy Director Jean Harper.

Additionally, CADC provides utility assistance, financial education, matched savings accounts and other services to help low to moderate income families find jobs and become self-sufficient, improving the health and education of our communities.

CADC staff will provide one-on-one help to jobseekers who may lack computer literacy, or are uncomfortable using the computer to seek job openings and related services.

CADC is a private nonprofit community action agency formed in 1965 to fight and win the War on Poverty. The mission of CADC is to improve the quality of life and to build strong communities in Arkansas. For more information, call 501-778-1133 or visit www.cadc.com.
