Currington concert coming up in Springfield

Country star Billy Currington and a special guest to be announced will perform at the PFI/PBR Party in the Parking Lot concert Aug. 22 in Springfield, Mo.

Currington has garnered an impressive list of Top 10 hits, with six of those hitting No. 1: “Pretty Good At Drinkin’ Beer,” “That’s How Country Boys Roll,” “People Are Crazy,” ”Don’t,” “Must Be Doin’ Somethin’ Right” and “Good Directions.” Currington has sold more than 11 million units, earned multiple RIAA Gold and Platinum certifications, been nominated for two Grammy Awards and multiple CMA and ACM Awards and has toured with the likes of Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley and Sugarland.

General admission tickets are on sale at PFI Western Store, 2816 S. Ingram Mill Road in Springfield, and www.Stubwire.com. General admission tickets are $25. Limited "Pit" tickets are $35.

Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Rider Relief Fund (www.RiderRelief.com) a 501C charity that provides financial assistance to athletes of all ages injured in the competitive sport of bull riding.

At the PFI/PBR Party in the Parking Lot:

Chairs will be provided in general admission where seating is first-come, first-served.

Pit admission is standing room only.

Concessions and "cold ones" will be available.

Concert is rain or shine.

Gates open at 6 p.m. The exact concert time will be released soon.
