Newest Village scam

Village residents are receiving an automated telephone call stating that their debit card number purported from the Malvern National Bank has been changed. Of course most people don’t have a MNB debit card and this is attempted to obtain their personal information. The telephone number associated with this scam returns to the Minneapolis, Minnesota area. Again please use caution when providing your personal information to anyone.

A member of the Hot Springs Village Police Department spoke with a representative from Malvern National Bank about these scam calls and was told that not only are people receiving telephone calls to their home and cell phones, they are also receiving texts and emails.
