THIS WILL LOWER THE OVERALL HEAT INDEX VALUES AND THEY ARE EXPECTED TO BE BELOW ADVISORY LEVELS. THIS WILL HAVE TO BE MONITORED...AS VALUES WILL STILL BE AROUND 100 TO 105 DEGREES IN SPOTS TODAY. ISOLATED TO SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE TODAY AS AN UPPER LEVEL WEATHER SYSTEM WILL MOVE ACROSS ARKANSAS. THE BEST CHANCES OF RAIN WILL BE IN THE NORTH AND NORTHEAST... WHILE LOWER CHANCES TO THE SOUTHWEST. AN ISOLATED STRONG TO SEVERE STORM WILL BE POSSIBLE...BUT THE OVERALL THREAT OF SEVERE STORMS WILL REMAIN ISOLATED AND BE LOW. THE WILDFIRE DANGER WILL REMAIN HIGH TO EXTREME TODAY DUE TO THE ONGOING DROUGHT AND CONTINUED HOT TEMPERATURES. ANY RAIN THAT IS SEEN IS EXPECTED TO BE LOW...AND NO WIDESPREAD RAINFALL IS EXPECTED IN THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE TO BRING MUCH RELIEF TO THE DROUGHT.
