Volunteers needed to help plant trees in Hot Springs
In partnership with the Hot Springs Parks and Recreation Department, the Hot
Springs/Garland County Beautification Commission will celebrate Keep America
Beautiful’s National Planting Day by replanting trees in the Transportation
Plaza adjacent to the Farmers Market Pavilion from 7 until 11 a.m. on Saturday,
September 8. Volunteers are needed to help plant trees to replace those lost in
the storm which heavily damaged the downtown area earlier this month.
Information on the commission’s Adopt-A-Tree Program and free books on Arbor Day
will be available at the event. To volunteer, contact Adam Roberts,
655-2161.
