Village budget review process cuts out working people

The Property Owners’ Association Board of Directors will conduct a review of the proposed 2013 fiscal year budget with POA management staff in three sessions.

Information for each of the three sessions is listed below:

First Session - Administration/Public Safety/Club Services: Wednesday, Sept. 12, Coronado Community Center, 3  to 5 p.m.; followed by an executive session on personnel.

Second Session - Recreation/Golf: Friday, Sept. 14, Ouachita Activities Building, Ponce de Leon Center, 3 to 5 p.m.

Third Session - Planning & Inspections/Public Works: Monday, Sept. 17, Ouachita Activities Building, Ponce de Leon Center, 3 to 5 p.m.

Once again all working Villagers have been cut out of the process.

POA members are encouraged to attend any or all of the budget sessions, which are open to the public.

The Board of Directors will conduct a public hearing for the budget during the Board Work Session scheduled for 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3 in the Ouachita Activities Building, Ponce de Leon Center. Public comment will be received during this hearing. Following that session, the Board will continue discussion of the budget.

The Board of Directors is scheduled to vote on the proposed budget during the Oct. 17 Board of Directors Regular Meeting, set for 9 a.m. in the Ouachita Activities Building, Ponce de Leon Center.
