Dancing with the Villagers this October

Dance the night away to the music of the Village Big Band at Animal Welfare League's fall fundraiser to benefit the Village shelter pets.
The League has planned a wonderful "casual chic" evening of dancing and entertainment on Thursday, October 4th at the Coronado ballroom.
Doors open at 5 p.m. for a catered heavy hors d' oeuvres buffet and libations from the cash bar.
Demonstration dances by Arthur Murray dancers will kick off the evening's entertainment. Talented Village couples will then take the floor for the Peoples' Choice Charity Dance Contest. They will perform favorite dances to music of their choice to raise money to send a homeless pet to a new, forever home. The udience will choose the winners by voting with dollar bills---a $1.00 a vote. The couple raising the most cash will win the "Dancing for Dollars" trophy.
The band will be playing musical medleys for everyone's favorite dances. And lucky benefit drawing winners will take home cash prizes----$150, $350 or $500----a $100 Cranford's shopping certificate or an annual membership to Garvan Gardens before the evening ends. Benefit drawing tickets for $1.00 each or 6/$5.00 will be on sale throughout the evening for more chances to win.
Event tickets are on sale now for $20 each.  Tickets are limited and won't last long!  Purchase your ticket at Company's Comin', The Dogwood Tree or by phone from Julie Keck at 915-9986.
All proceeds from the League's evening for the animals fund second chances for deserving companion pets in our community.
