Nerves are getting ragged. I just got a call from a worried Villager about smelling smoke. Currently, there are no fires or fire calls in the Village.
But, there is a one acre fire on Peterson Road in the Fountain Lake are. Near enough to the Village to see the air tankers and smell the smoke.
Unfortunately, Hot Springs Fire Department is fighting two fires at this time, one at J & S Italian Villa on Central near Lake Hamilton and the other at the intersection of the Bypass and 70.
There is also another wildfire in the Ola area, north off Highway 7.
