U.S. Senator Mark Pryor said that he is looking forward to meeting with
Arkansans to discuss job creation, small business, healthcare, and other
important issues in the upcoming week.
On Monday, April
2 at 10 a.m., Pryor and members of the Arkansas
Congressional delegation will meet with state, local, and federal stakeholders
to discuss the Bayou Meto irrigation project. The meeting will take place at
12124 Sweetwater Run in North Little Rock.
At 2 p.m.,
Pryor will receive
the Dale Bumpers Leadership Award for 2012 for his support of the Area Health
Education Centers (AHEC) program. The presentation will take place at the
University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, 4301 West Markham in Little Rock
.
On Tuesday, April at 8 a.m., Pryor will meet with Baptist Hospital
executives to discuss healthcare. The meeting will take place at the Baptist
Corporate Office, 9601 I-630, Exit 7 in Little Rock.
On Wednesday, April
4 at 10:30 a.m., Pryor will speak with Fayetteville
High School government classes about current events and his work in the Senate.
The event will take place at Fayetteville High School, 1001 West Stone Street in
Fayetteville.
At 1:30 p.m., Pryor will tour the
Iceberg CoWorking Facility, a support network and resource facility for
entrepreneurs in Northwest Arkansas. The Iceberg is an extension of the
Northwest Arkansas Entrepreneurship Alliance, an organization that works to spur
innovation and economic growth in Northwest Arkansas. The Iceberg CoWorking
Facility is located at 509 West Spring Street, Suite 105 in Fayetteville.
At 2:45 p.m.,
Pryor will join
Fayetteville Mayor Lioneld Jordan on “Mayor’s Corner” to discuss current
events. The taping will take place at 101 West Rock Street in Fayetteville.
On Thursday, April
5 at 9 a.m., Pryor will announce that the
Bentonville Fire Department will receive a Department of Homeland Security
grant. The announcement will take place at 800 Southwest A Street, Fire Station
#1 in Bentonville.
At 11:30 a.m.,
Pryor will provide
opening remarks and participate in a roundtable discussion hosted by the Rogers
Chamber of Commerce on health care and the economy. The event will take place
at the Embassy Suites, 3303 Pinnacle Hills Parkway in Rogers.
At 3 p.m.,
Pryor will tour the
Children’s Safety Center, a family-centered facility that coordinates the
investigation, prosecution, and treatment services for child victims of abuse in
Northwest Arkansas. The Children’s Safety Center is located at 614 East Emma,
Suite 200 in Springdale.
