Another murder investigation in Garland County

According to Lt. James "Corky" Markin, our office received a report of a deceased male on 03/29/12, at approximately 7:25 p.m., at 182 Addison Road in Pearcy. The call was placed by a friend of the deceased, who had been trying to contact him for several days and had not been able to do so.

The remains of 45 year old Frank Huneycutt were located on the floor inside the residence and appeared to have been there for an extended period.

There were no immediate signs of foul play and the extended period that Mr. Huneycutt had been deceased did not offer visible signs of trauma. The deceased was sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy, positive identification and cause of death.

Although the autopsy is not complete nor do we have a preliminary report from the lab, we did receive a call today from them with information that would lead us to investigate this death as a homicide. Investigators are still at the residence gathering and processing evidence.

At this point we will not be releasing what that information is and have no other information to offer. We do not have a motive or suspect at this time, but I will update you next week as the investigation continues.
