McDaniel statement

Attorney General Dustin McDaniel issued the following statement following a Pulaski County Circuit Court jury's verdict in the case, Arkansas v. Ortho-McNeil-Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and Johnson and Johnson, Inc.:

"I have committed to always protect Arkansas's consumers against fraud and deceptive practices, and that is why the State pursued this case. Today, an Arkansas jury confirmed that Johnson & Johnson and Janssen Pharmaceuticals lied to patients and doctors because they cared more about profits than people. I am grateful for the jury's verdict and its decision to hold the defendants accountable for their actions.

"I appreciate the jurors who gave their time and attention throughout this trial, weighed the evidence and reached this decision on behalf of their fellow Arkansans."
