In a stunning move a press conference aired live last night during prime time television.
Arkansas Razorback athletic director Jeff Long announced the immediate dismissal of coach Bobby Petrino. Long showed heavy signs of distress while making his announcement. He knew his decision to fire the winning coach was not going to be popular but cited his responsibility to the student body and the message it would send if Petrino was kept on board.
Petrino was caught lying and cheating after a recent motorcycle accident. Lying and cheating are not characteristics we want our children to emulate.
