Wednesday, April 18, the Village Heifer Club will meet at the Kirk
Conference Room at 2:00 pm. There will be guests!
Teachers from Cutter Morning Star and from Fountain Lake will be there to
tell what their schools are doing for Heifer!
We think you will be pleased to hear more from
Chelsea Chandler, gifted and talented teacher at Fountain Lake elementary, and
Wendy Burfeind, the Media Specialist there. Both
have been working with 3rd and 4th grade Gifted and Talented children to put together a BIG WALK-A-THON called "Stride for the
Hide". The event will be Friday, April 27,
12:30--2:00 pm. We'll need your help at the Heifer Booth at that
event.
At the same meeting, Deborah Giusti, the
Coordinator for the Gifted and Talented programs at Cutter Morning Star will
tell about how students at Cutter Morning Star are learning about Heifer. Our
earstwhile Dave Nottrott has given two talks to their students recently. You
will learn more about their plans and upcoming
benefit dinner for Heifer. And of course, you can
attend their big barbeque dinner....all proceeds will go to Heifer.
We also have some business to attend to, so please
make plans now to be at the meeting at theKirk on April 27th. Your "Steering"
Committee will meet at 1:00 to discuss potential donations to Heifer Ranch and
to plan for future programs for your HSV Heifer Club.
This is really and important meeting, so hope you
will be there! Remember, the CONFERENCE ROOM, NOT THE ROOM
DOWNSTAIRS!
There is also a possibility we will have a booth at
the CASA Spring Fling on April 21.
