Last night, at approximately midnight, volunteer searchers located personal effects of Jessieville resident Dan Roberson’s vehicle on a “trail” off of Main Haul Road , which is off of Hwy 7 North. While investigators were processing the scene and gathering the items, searchers located a stolen vehicle in a dense wooded area near where the personal effects were located. That vehicle has been taken to the Sheriff’s Office for processing.
At this point foul play is suspected in the disappearance of Mr. Roberson, but there are no persons of interest.
At approximately 8 a.m. this morning searchers with our Mounted Patrol; Search & Rescue Unit, Volunteer Fire Department and other volunteers began a search on foot and horseback for Mr. Roberson and his vehicle. At this point neither has been located. The search will continue throughout the day and I will update you as information becomes available.
