Learn about airplanes

Introduction to Aerospace classes are being scheduled for this fall by the National Park Community College Workforce Development Department. The first class will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings, from 6-9 p.m., beginning on August 26, 2013 and concluding on February 19, 2014. A second class will run from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, starting October 15, 2013 and concluding April 15, 2014.

The program combines classroom instruction and hands-on activities that include: safety maintenance practices, shop math, aircraft blueprints, hand tools, precision measuring, aircraft structural materials, aircraft hardware, aircraft sheet metal, composites, and maintenance manual interpretation.
