FFA volunteers clean up

Volunteer groups from Arkansas Future Farmers of America and JumpStart Arkansas recently lent their helping hands to the Hot Springs Parks and Recreation Department.

On Thursday, July 11, as part of their Arkansas leadership conference, 20 members of the Future Farmers of America spent several hours spreading soil on the soccer fields at Kimery Park. On Thursday, July 18, the group spent a few hours spreading gravel at Entergy Park.

On Saturday, July 20, a group of 113 pastors and church leaders with JumpStart Arkansas met at Hill Wheatley Park to complete several projects. The group painted the inside and outside of restrooms, removed debris from the cove and cleared brush along paths and roads.
