Village Summer Fest, the Hot Springs Village Independence Day celebration, is set for Thursday, July 4 through Saturday, July 6. The event offers opportunities for the young and young-at-heart to Join the Fun in Hot Springs Village.

Get your golf fix early on Friday by participating in the Flag Golf Tournament, which kicks off at 7:00 a.m. at Balboa Golf Course. Entry fee is $10 plus the regular 18-hole play price. Paddle your way to fun in FREE canoe and paddle boat races, set for Friday, July 5, at DeSoto Marina.Listen to the sounds of the HSV Big Band, in concert Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Balboa Pavilion. The event, which is sponsored by Summit Bank, is free to the public. Saturday, July 6 events include not one, but two fishing tournaments. The Children’s Fishing Tournament, 6:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., is free for ages 16 and under. The Two-Person Team Fishing Tournament, 6:30 to 11:30 a.m., is on Lake Balboa. Other events include a 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament at the DeSoto Family Recreation Area and Village Fest BBQ and Ice Cream Social at the DeSoto Club.
