Archeology Day Camp

Parkin Archeological State Park
Archeology Day Camp will introduce kids to what archeologists do for a living. This camp will be educational, fun, and exciting! We will take you on a journey from the first step of an archeological excavation to the last and learn a lot along the way! The cost for the three days is $75 and this covers meals, snacks, admissions, and transportation to off-site activities.
Pre-registration with a $35 deposit is required. Interested families must contact the visitor center at 870.755.2500 and ask for Park Interpreter Mel email or parkin@arkansas.gov to receive an information and registration packet. This packet will include a three-day itinerary, medical and emergency information forms, permission slips, safety guidelines, and a list of items participants need to bring with them. Potential registrants must return the necessary registration forms with the deposit to Parkin Archeological State Park before a participant’s reservation will be confirmed. The last day for withdrawal to receive a full refund is Friday, June 2nd. Archeology Day Camp is limited to 10 children, ages 9 to 14 only, please.
