Tomorrow is National Public Gardens Day

Garvan Woodland Gardens will join other members of the American Public Gardens Association (APGA) around the country in celebrating Friday, May 11 as National Public Gardens Day.  The one-day event, organized by APGA and founding sponsor Rain Bird, an irrigation product provider, brings awareness to communities nationwide about the important role public gardens play in promoting environmental stewardship, plant and water conservation, and education. Better Homes and Gardens magazine has also partnered with APGA this year, offering readers a free admission coupon to visit any participating public garden.  The coupon, which allows complimentary admission for two people only, no matter the size of the group or family unit, can be obtained by logging on to the magazine’s website at www.BHG.com/freegarden and following the prompts.
