Hot Springs e-day this Sunday


The Hot Springs/Garland County Beautification Commission will host the fifth Annual "e-Day" from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 20 at the Farmers Market Pavilion, 121 Orange Street.  e-Day showcases nearly one hundred environmentally-conscious businesses and groups, non-profits and places of worship offering products, advice and information related to the “e’s” of energy efficiency, education, entertainment, environment, and the earth. Admission is free.
  
The event will feature live music from local resident and international entertainer Roy Rivers, well-known for his John Denver tribute performances; refreshments by T&V's Ice Cream & More and Green Herb; and a large youth activity area sponsored by the Garland County 4-H Program with games, petting zoo, and a Reel Kids casting competition. Other vendors will offer energy-saving ideas and earth-friendly products for purchase.

Exhibitors include: Entergy/Clear Result, Hot Springs Sanitation Department, Mid-America Science Museum, Ouachita Life, Natural Awakenings Magazine, City Plumbing Heat and Electric, Hot Springs Stormwater Division, Keep Arkansas Beautiful, Arkansas Watershed Advisory Group (AWAG), Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality, Garland County Conservation District, Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission, ABC Nature Green House & Nursery, Garland County Department of Environmental Services, Sunny Way Tutoring & Sales, Rosemary Hill Herb Farm, Arkansas Renewable Energy, Arkansas Wildlife Federation, Stellar Sun, Heather Montgomery, Artist, and more.  Free parking is available throughout the Transportation Plaza, adjacent to the pavilion.
