The first-ever Garland County CASA Children’s Spring Festival, featuring fun activities for all ages, will be held on Saturday, April 21 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Hot Springs Memorial Field, 525 Airport Road.
The event, held during Child Abuse Awareness Month, is designed to promote family and community togetherness. It is open to the public free of charge. Donations will be accepted to help further Garland County CASA’s mission, which is to provide trained volunteer advocates to safeguard the best interests of abused and neglected children in dependency-neglect cases by providing factual information to guide decisions made on their behalf.
The festival will feature carnival games, pony rides, bounce houses, and a silent auction of local schoolchildren’s artwork, along with a petting zoo, belly dance troupe, and eat-a-bug club. A refreshment vendor, music, entertainment and a live radio station remote broadcast will also be on site during the event.
For information or to volunteer, contact Molly VanWie, Garland County CASA, 321-9269.
