Art at the airport

The public is invited to an art exhibit opening reception from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 18 at Hot Springs Memorial Field, 525 Airport Road. Traditional Art Guild members Sharon Dumas and Carol Joswick will be exhibiting their artwork. Other TAG members will be present to answer questions about the organization and future events.

Dumas and Joswick share a life-long concern for animals, and much of the artwork on display will highlight this interest. Both artists have shown their works at several TAG events and the Montgomery County Library. In addition, Dumas has had work on display at the Art Center of Hot Springs and National Park Community College, where she has attended painting classes for several years. Carol is also a member of the Ouachita Artists and has displayed her work at their newly-opened gallery in Mount Ida. Dumas works in oils, and Joswick in water color.

The third Saturday of every month throughout the year, the airport will host a new art exhibit by a TAG member, beginning with an opening reception. For information on TAG membership, contact Traditional Art Guild President Nina Louton at (501) 620-0303.
