Hope native hired to lead Alzheimer's Association Central Arkansas Regional Office focusing on service to Arkansas families

A central Arkansas native is coming back home to lead the local efforts for the Alzheimer’s Association. In January, Beckie Moore started her new position as the Regional Director of the Central Arkansas Regional Office for the organization.

Moore, who is from Hope, comes back to the Natural State after a stint with the United Way of the Greater Clarksville Region in Clarksville, Tennessee. She brings with her 16 years of experience in the non-profit sector. Moore served as Executive Director for the Clinton Birthplace Foundation for the better part of President Bill Clinton’s tenure in the White House. She also directed the efforts of Main Street El Dorado.

“This is home for me,” Moore said. “The opportunity to be a part of an organization that works so diligently to support Arkansas families impacted by Alzheimer’s, while also devoting ourselves to advancing research, is an exciting challenge.”

The Central Arkansas Regional Office provides free programs to the Little Rock area and the majority of the eastern half of the state. Moore oversees outreach that includes education for family and professional caregivers, as well as fundraising efforts to fuel the solution-based mission of the organization.

“The Alzheimer’s Association is excited to have such a dynamic talent join us in our fight against Alzheimer’s,” said Jack Eaton, Senior Director of Arkansas Operations for the Alzheimer’s Association. “This Cause needs effective, experienced leadership and Beckie’s background and skills are critical to how we pursue our mission.”
