Emergency notification becomes reality in Village

Hot Springs Village Property Owners’ Association has contracted with One Call Now of Troy, Ohio to provide a mass notification system for HSV. One Call is America’s largest message notification service provider and its clients include municipalities, schools and other large business groups.

This system will be used only to communicate emergencies to residents and businesses located within the boundaries of HSV. The system has the ability to call residents in an affected area of the Village and alert them to an emergency such as a missing person or water main break, etc. Additionally, the system has an “all-call” feature that can send a call to all residents in the system, if needed.

All HSV household and business landline phone listings, published or unpublished, provided by the telephone company will automatically be in the system and updated quarterly. It is necessary that residents/businesses provide any additional numbers, including cell phone numbers that they wish to have contacted.

Residents and businesses will be able to add the additional telephone numbers via the POA’s website, www.hsvpoa.org after January 20th, 2012. If you do not have a landline, do not have computer access, have a cell phone as your primary number, forms are available to complete for participation.

Forms can be picked up at the POA Administration Building, Coronado Community Center and the Police Department.

If further information is needed, call 922-0011.
