Senator Mark Pryor made the following statement on the death of Sgt. 1st Class Benjamin Wise, 34. Sgt. Wise was assigned to Company A, 3rd Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne), Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington.
Sergeant First Class Benjamin Wise served four tours of duty with courage, skill and distinction, making significant contributions to his unit and operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. We are a nation forever grateful for his service and sacrifice.
While Arkansas has lost a great patriot, the Wise family has paid an extraordinary price in service to our country. I extend my deepest condolences to them, and I ask all Arkansans to keep the Wise family in their prayers during this difficult time.
