The public is invited to an art exhibit opening reception from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 21 at Hot Springs Memorial Field, 525 Airport Road. Kathryn Curry will be displaying her paintings in an exhibit titled A Chill in the Air and Warm Holiday Colors from January 19 through February 14.
Ms Curry states, "We are all one of a kind, all my paintings are one of a kind, and they vary in subject matter. I paint with watercolors or oils. Being a member of the Traditional Art Guild gives me the opportunity to mingle with other artists and to talk about art. TAG has members of varying ages and levels of expertise, and there is much talent to share.
Hot Springs is the perfect town to live in if you appreciate the arts. We have access to art galleries, documentary films, music festivals and live stage performances. My family and I moved to Hot Springs in 1980 from the Chicago suburbs. We came to enjoy the lakes, mild winters and southern hospitality.”
The third Saturday of every month throughout the year, the airport will host a new art exhibit by a TAG member, beginning with an opening reception. For information on TAG membership, contact Nina Louton, Traditional Art Guild president, at 620-0303.
