The Hot Springs Parks & Recreation Department is now taking individual registrations for adult draft league softball until 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 1. Interested individuals can sign up for $30 at the Parks & Recreation administrative office, 111 Opera Street, Suite A, by providing name, phone number, position and shirt size. Games will be played on Thursday nights, two games per night, at Kimery Park. Each player will receive a jersey.
Draft will occur at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 1. The first 48 players will be assured a spot. Payment must be received in order to be included on the master draft sheet.
“Adult draft league softball is a great way to get ahead of the 2012 competition with early swings and games,” Recreation Superintendent Nathan Neighbors said. “It includes the Home run derby series, League MVP and All Spring Training Team Awards.” For information, contact Neighbors at 321-6871.
