The Arkansas State Highway
Commission has awarded funding to applicants for the Recreational Trails
Program projects in Arkansas.
“The trails program, which is a
very competitive program, is directed toward developing and maintaining trails
for recreational purposes throughout the State,” said Arkansas State Highway
and Transportation Department (AHTD) Director Scott Bennett.
“We received 45 non-motorized applications
requesting more than $3 million. Thirty
projects were selected to receive approximately $1.5 million in available
funding.”
