Trail money


The Arkansas State Highway Commission has awarded funding to applicants for the Recreational Trails Program projects in Arkansas.

“The trails program, which is a very competitive program, is directed toward developing and maintaining trails for recreational purposes throughout the State,” said Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) Director Scott Bennett.

 “We received 45 non-motorized applications requesting more than $3 million.  Thirty projects were selected to receive approximately $1.5 million in available funding.”

The AHTD will work with the successful applicants to develop their projects and see them through to completion.  The following applicants were selected for funding:
