Late in the afternoon of May 2, two cases of distemper were confirmed in puppies
adopted from the John Seales Animal Services Center, 319 Davidson Drive in Hot Springs.
Both were
unvaccinated animals adopted from Animal Services in late March or early April.
Animal Services is currently vaccinating all puppies that have been isolated at
the shelter and show no signs of the disease. The shelter is currently
conducting normal hours of operation but is not accepting any animals. For
information, call 262-2091.
