Pryor Applauds FAA Decision to Keep Arkansas Air Traffic Control Towers Open

When I heard the FAA’s recent announcement to keep the towers open through 2013, I thought—it’s about time. For months, I’ve been part of a bipartisan group of senators that has pressed the FAA about this reckless decision. We’ve questioned them at hearings, we’ve written letters, we’ve introduced bills and amendments, and we’ve passed legislation to give them flexibility to prevent these closures. By keeping these towers open, we’re protecting our skies and national security, and keeping our economy on track.
