Governor Beebe announced intent to grant pardons

Governor Mike Beebe announced his intent to grant seven pardons. An additional 28 clemency requests were denied and 28 had no action taken upon them. These include requests from both inmates and non-inmates.

The seven applicants intended for pardons have completed all jail time, fulfilled all parole-and-probationary requirements and paid all fines related to their sentences. There is a 30-day waiting period to receive public feedback on the pardons before final action is taken.

Governor Beebe intends to grant pardons to the following people:

Terry Ables (Mountain Home): Commercial Burglary, Theft of Property, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
This notice is issued based on the date of conviction (1996 - Baxter County), the fact that all terms of the applicant's sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law-enforcement objections to the application.

Glendale Collins (Wynne): Possession of Marijuana
This notice is issued based on the date of conviction (1995 - Wynne District Court), the fact that all terms of the applicant's sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law-enforcement objections to the application.

William L. Conklin (Harrison): Theft by Receiving
This notice is issued based on the date of conviction (1995 - Newton County), the fact that all terms of the applicant's sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law-enforcement objections to the application.

Zachary Jackson (Jonesboro): Possession of Methamphetamine
This notice is issued based on the date of conviction (2001 - Craighead County), the fact that all terms of the applicant's sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law-enforcement objections to the application.

Marzetta Oates (Fayetteville): Theft of Property, Robbery
This notice is issued based on the dates of conviction (1980, 1988 - Jefferson County), the fact that all terms of the applicant's sentences have been completed and there have been no further felony violations. There are no law-enforcement objections to the application.

Johnny Suggs (Huntsville): Possession of Methamphetamine
This notice is issued based on the date of conviction (2000 - Madison County), the fact that all terms of the applicant's sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law-enforcement objections to the application.

Edward White (Mishawaka, Indiana): Delivery of Marijuana
This notice is issued based on the date of conviction (1985 - Union County), the fact that all terms of the applicant's sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law-enforcement objections to the application.
