Showcase for Village arts

With music, visual arts, performance arts, demonstrations and more, the Showcase of the Arts, set for Saturday, Oct. 5, will be a feast for the senses. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ponce de Leon Center and is sponsored by the HSV Arts Council and the Ponce de Leon Center.  

Performances will be scheduled throughout the day by a number of local groups including the Crystal Chimes Chorus, Hot Springs Village Players, Providence Quartet, Hot Springs/Hot Springs Village Symphony Guild members, PEO Singers, Village Big Band, Village Men’s Chorus, The Village Chorale (yeah, my group), Cedar Mountain Singers, Hot Springs Concert Band and the Carousel Theater.

Learn more about a variety of art and handicrafts through hands on demonstrations by the Hot Springs Village Quilt Guild, HSV Camera Club, Brush Strokes Fine Art Club of Hot Springs Village, the Village Art Club and the Village Woodworkers.

Listen to poetry and short stories readings by Village Writers’ Club members.

Register to win concert tickets, art, music CDs and toys. Purchase food from vendors. Cash bar available.
