Burn ban in Hot Springs
The Hot Springs Fire Department has issued a burn ban, effective immediately,
for all areas within the City of Hot Springs. The ban is based on the potential
hazard associated with low fuel moisture levels, low relative humidity and
elevated winds. All open burning is prohibited, and all burn permits issued
prior to the burn ban are rescinded. Residents are advised to be vigilant when
operating equipment such as lawnmowers that could spark and ignite a fire. The
ban will be lifted when an appreciable amount of precipitation alleviates the
current conditions.
