The U.S. Department of Transportation issued an order yesterday re-selecting
Portland-based SeaPort Airlines to provide subsidized Essential Air Service
(EAS) at El Dorado/Camden, Harrison and Hot Springs, Arkansas for a new
four-year term. A copy of the order is attached.
SeaPort Airlines
has been Hot Springs’ EAS provider since 2009. It provides service to
Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas; Harrison, Arkansas; and Kansas City, Missouri from Hot
Springs Memorial Field. Seaport operates a Pilatus PC-12, a single engine turbo
prop commuter airplane which seats 9 passengers.
“I was pleased to
see that SeaPort was again selected by the DOT to provide subsidized Essential
Air Service for Hot Springs,” said Airport Director George Downie. “They have
proven that they are willing to work with the Arkansas communities and the
general public to provide the best service possible with their limited flights.
SeaPort has an excellent reliability record. I look forward to working with
SeaPort to continue providing Hot Springs residents and visitors with dependable
air service.”
