Justice of the Peace (JP) James
Zahnd will hold his first Town Hall meeting from 10 a.m. until noon, Wednesday,
Jan. 23 at Summit Bank, 24705 Hwy 5, just outside the East Gate entrance to Hot
Springs Village. Zahnd, who represents District 13 on the Saline County Quorum
Court, said any resident of the district is welcome to attend the meeting where
he will discuss pertinent issues relating to Saline County government and
respond to constituents’ questions.
Elected for the first time last November
and sworn-in with other Saline County officials on January 1, Zahnd said this
Town Meeting will be the first in a series of regular meetings held throughout
District 13. “Maintaining regular communication
with my constituents will be an important part of my work,” Zahnd said. “It is important that the people of the
District know what is happening in Saline County government, and that I know
their views on the issues. Regular Town
Hall meetings are just one way I plan to encourage effective two-way communications
about matters important to us all.”
District
13 includes the Crows, Paron and Ten Mile communities as well as the Saline
County portion of Hot Springs Village.
Zahnd said Town Hall meetings will be held in each of those areas at a
time and date convenient to the residents.
