The City of Hot Springs has been chosen as one of eleven finalists for the grand
prize in the CivicPlus “Extreme Web site Makeover 2012” contest. CivicPlus is a
provider of government website and community engagement software.
Citizen participation will be a factor in determining the grand prize
winner. Citizens are encouraged to visit www.cityhs.net and click on
the CivicPlus Digital Citizen Engagement Survey to nominate Hot Springs for a
chance to win a free, interactive Web site.
A new Web site will serve as a beneficial tool for the entire community.
Citizens can stay up-to-date on important news and events, and learn more about
local government from enhanced transparency and increased engagement.
Hot Springs has until Friday, January 11, to gain citizen feedback and
support. The winner will be notified by 5 p.m. on Monday, January 21.
The grand prize winner will receive a premium CivicPlus Web site with
custom design, full development and three days of on-site training, plus a waiver on the first two years of annual fees. Hot
Springs looks forward to citizen involvement in the promotion of the city Web
site for the contest. For additional information, contact Public Information
Assistant Jeff Fields, 321-6831.
