Terry
Espino-Bright, Coordinator of Career Services at National Park Community
College, has earned the Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) designation
by the Center for Credentialing and Education in Greensboro, North Carolina.
GCDFs complete at least 120 hours of training based on a curriculum infused with
general and country-specific activities. Additionally, GCDFs must demonstrate
that they engage in continuing education activities to remain abreast of current
information in the career development field. Ms. Espino-Bright provides valuable
student career services and mentoring through our NPCC Career Center. She also
teaches Career Development classes each semester.
The NPCC Career
Center provides a variety of services to students, alumni, and the community.
Employment listings and opportunities for on-campus interviews with area
employers are posted to CareerLink, NPCC’s virtual career center. Community
events sponsored by the Career Center include Career Day, Job Fairs, and
Volunteer Day. Service Learning activities to enhance educational majors and
provide assistance to community organizations are coordinated through the
Center. The Career Center also serves as a location for student surveys,
enrollment applications, and self-registration. The NPCC Career Center is a
member of NACE (National Association of Colleges and Employers) and administers
the campus Perkins Grant for Career and Technical Education.
