Village pool information

The DeSoto Pool is now open for summer. Located between the DeSoto Golf Course and the DeSoto Family Recreation Area, the DeSoto Pool offers something for all ages. There are separate water areas for the swim tank, which is three to five feet deep; the dive tank, which is 11 feet deep and features a diving board; and the wading pool. The pool area has loungers, umbrella-covered tables, shaded areas, a snack bar and a locker room facility with showers.

Open Swim Hours are as follows:

Monday through Friday Hours: May 28 - August 10: 11:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m., July 4: 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and September 3: 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Saturday Hours: May 26 - September 1: 10:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Sunday Hours: May 27 - September 6: 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Daily Rates are $3.75 (POA members) and $5.25 (Guests). Children 6 years old and under may swim for $1.50 (POA members) and $2.00 (Guests). Individual season passes are $89.50 (POA members) and $129.00 (Guests). Family season passes are $178.50 (POA members) and $249.00 (Guests).

The pool is also available to rent for birthdays, family reunions, parties, etc. Rental is during non-scheduled hours and includes lifeguards. The cost is $45.25 per hour (POA members) and $60.00 per hour (Guests) for 30 people or less with a $25.00 clean up fee; each 10 additional people are $10.00 each.

Swim lessons are offered throughout the summer and are taught by qualified instructors for children ages 1 year and up, Monday - Friday. Fee is due at registration: $30.00 per child, per session. Children are placed in Class Levels depending on their swimming ability. Each class lasts one week. Classes are held at 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.

  

Swim lesson sessions are as follows: Session 1: June 11- June 15, Session 2: June 18 - June 22, Session 3: June 25 - June 29**, Session 4: July 9 - July 13**, Session 5: July 16 - July 20 and Session 6: July 23 - July 27.

** Infant/Toddler (1-3 years, 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.) Classes will be held during Session 3 and 4 only. A parent or guardian is required in the pool with each infant or toddler (1-3 years).
