Following last week’s storms and resulting water production slowdown, Hot
Springs Municipal Utilities' storage tank levels are back to normal. North
Garland County Water has regained pressure in their system. They are no longer
taking water through the emergency connection. Citizens are free to resume
normal activities regarding use of city water. However, voluntary conservation
is still encouraged.
Utilities Director Richard Penn stated, “The dedication of water production
employees resulted in steady, uninterrupted delivery of drinking water to the
City of Hot Springs throughout the storm events, ultimately avoiding any need
for boil orders. I am extremely proud of them.
We thank our customers for their best volunteer efforts to conserve water.
As we head into the drier summer months, water conservation is a good ongoing
practice for every household and business."
