Armed robbery outside Village west gate























At approximately 5:26 p.m. Friday evening, March 1, the Garland County Sheriff’s Department received a call of an Armed Robbery at the Hot Springs Bank and Trust at 4579 Highway 7 North in the north area of Garland County. The bank is in the parking lot of Cranford's near the west gate of Hot Springs Village.

The suspect, who is described as a white male 5’8” to 6’0” tall, wearing a dark mask, blue hoodie and blue jeans, was witnessed leaving the scene in a Blue 2008 Chevy Cobalt with Arkansas License Plate 437ORE, heading North bound on Highway 7. This vehicle was reported to the Garland County Sheriff's Department as stolen Thursday, February 28. 

The suspect reportedly brandished a dark colored handgun but no shots were fired and no one was injured during the robbery.

Investigators have concluded their on-scene investigation. The suspect got away with an unknown amount of cash.

Village Police were not called in to respond to the 911 call nor to assist in the investigation.
