Website launch yesterday

As Americans across the country honor veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good, ARVets is delighted to announce the launch of its website www.ARVets.org.

The innovative site provides users with a comprehensive overview of the new non-profit organization, including information on what they do, how to acquire support and how to give back to those who have served us so proudly. As visitors enter the site, they will have access to the ARVets Top 5, a featured newsfeed providing the latest hot topics of interest for veterans and their supporters. Special features range from compelling stories about veterans whom the organization has served to an online form that allows a veteran or their family member to request assistance on the spot.

At the heart of the site’s construction and the organization is Chief Executive Officer Nicole S. Hart, who is a veteran herself. When asked about her vision for the new site, she commented, “As a combat veteran I have often been reminded by family, friends and colleagues that I need to make sure I am getting my benefits (a check). Every time I hear that my mind goes back to the sleepless nights I have because my mind always wanders back to war…my lack of concentration on any and everything because my mind always wanders back to war…or even that my whole life has changed after my tour in Iraq. I don’t want a check, I want help. Help to sleep, help to not remember, help to get some type of normalcy out of what my life has become. I want that for every veteran that visits our site—the opportunity to get that help!”

Information about the website:

• Detailed information about programs and services

• Access to Nicole’s Notes allowing visitors to stay connected to the CEO of the organization

• Success stories from local Arkansas veterans

• Online tool for veterans and their families to begin the process of obtaining support

• Ways to give support including an online volunteer application and donation page

• Information portal where you have an opportunity to share valuable information about what’s going on across the state in the veteran community in our “Let a Veteran Know” section

ARVets came into existence as a result of the research and work of the Arkansas Yellow Ribbon Taskforce, whose mission was to conduct an in depth analysis of the needs of Arkansas veterans and how efficiently those needs were being met. The outcome reflected that the system of care was shaping up to be something concrete and beneficial but needed a unifying factor to connect veteran specific resources to veterans and their family.

ARVets is the definitive link to bring it all together. They provide the coordination of effort and resources for military, veterans and families through a number of programs & services.

ARVets

ARVets is a non-profit organization whose mission is to enhance the overall quality of life for military personnel, veterans and their families by improving access to resources and strengthening support systems through all phases of the military life cycle. ARVets will proactively offer more innovative ideas and methods to deliver services and focus on a grassroots case-management approach.

Their vision is to ensure that all military, veterans and their families have a one-stop shop where all their needs can be addressed simultaneously.
