The public is invited to meet with representatives from the City of Hot Springs and the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department from 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday, November 18 at the Transportation Depot, 100 Broadway Terrace to review design plans and to provide for citizen comments on design proposals for Phase III of the Higdon Ferry Road widening project.
The Phase III segment of this project will be from Printer’s Place to Crawford Drive. Two alternatives are being considered regarding the configuration of the Crawford Drive/Higdon Ferry Road intersection. One alternative would relocate and realign the west end of Crawford Drive with Emory Street. This would include full permanent signalization. The other alternative would improve the existing Crawford Drive intersection at Higdon Ferry Road with temporary traffic signals.
The Hot Springs Board of Directors will then consider the final recommendation at their regular meeting at 7 p.m. on December 6 in the Board Chambers of City Hall, 133 Convention Boulevard. For more information, please contact Deputy City Manager for Public Works Steve Mallett at 321-6860.
